This is our latest design childs chair for this year.I first started making childrens chairs when my first daughter was born...... she's forty now and we still have the chair.
The chair is made of hardwood, so can last a lifetime. These are upholstered in faux leather, so easy to wipe over. Not a flimsy toy, but a proper upholstered chair designed to look stylish and give many years of wear and can be past down the generations. Also available in other materials including leather, we can quote you prices on any material, including your own.
They are available as shown above, in faux leather (other colours available, inc .brown, red, green, black etc.) for £195.00 plus carriage charge, or available to collect from us. All chairs made to order.

Reupholstery sounds like a very old fashioned thing, forget that and think creative.
We can transform something very old fashioned and drag it into the 21st. century, with a whole new lease of life.Furniture in particular, manufactured more than 20 years ago had a much more robust frame than the majority of most items made today, with a lot of modern furniture now brought in from eastern europe, and now a big influx from China.
Look through the different sections on our site, there is something for everybody, but if we have missed something you require, contact us and I am sure we can accomodate.
We reupholster Ercol,Cintique, Parker Knoll,G. Plan,Schreiber, Duresta,Tetrad,Vale, Spadesbourne, if they made it, we can reupholster it, and update if required.

Mr.& Mrs. Bayliss off Ernsford Grange in Coventry decided that their dralon sofa, although still in good condition was looking a little dated, and went for an update:

They decided that a good quality Italian leather would be serviceable and the contrasting large stripe cushions would complete the transformation..................................updated style with a more up to date look........job done!

A large rest home in Leamington needed new chairs and as they were a litle wary of the quality of the chairs on offer and considering the amount of wear the chairs were likely to receive, they opted to have the chairs custom made by Stage One Upholstery. The frames are traditionally made using hardwood (absolutely NO chipboard os MDF)
The results were a big hit with the residents, as the seats were made just a little higher making getting in and out of the chairs that little bit easier. As the chairs were all made in proportion the 'granny chair' look was avoided.
This type of chair is very popular with the older customer, or possibly someone with back or mobility problems. Sizes, heights colours and fabrics can be customised to your personal needs..................

Mrs. Cotton from Ashow had a treasured suite for about 20 years which had reached the stage where tender loving care was required , or the chairs would have to leave home. After that amount of time, obtaining the same fabric would be very unlikely,............however afetr much searching, the original pattern was located and new loose covers were made and fitted to Mrs. Cotton's favourite chairs.............Result.

Mrs. T from Solihull needed a new lounge unit, the problem was she could not get the size and quality that she required.
With the assistance of Bryan from Stage One, she designed her own. It was made the traditional way using a hardwood frame, which will last a lifetime, to the exact measurements for length and width of the unit, height and depth of the seats and the backs.
The results are below, meanwhile a delighted Mrs. T is busy sorting out the specifications of some more furniture she needs.

For something special in luxury horseboxes, some of our clients are now choosing to have the living interiors upholstered in superb Italian leather, which is not only durable, but creates an amazing 'luxury' look and feel.
Below is an example of a Solitaire Sapphire 111 given the makeover. The vehicle is an Iveco Tector. For details and quote, contact us.

We can use most colours of leather, or cloth in fact, to your own specification.

Below is an example of a settee, probably made in the early 1900's, very forlorn and looking well past it's 'sell by date',the frame is in quite a bad way, springs are gone, one of the legs broken off, and whats left of the padding not really doing a lot. However........the owner is very fond of this sofa. So work in progress, and we'll keep you updated as we go along:
1
This is how the settee arrived........very sad looking. The leg was broken off,the arm was being held on by the material, back and seat wooden rails are broken off the frame, the front supporting rail was detached and supporting nothing, the webbings that hold the springs above and below had, long since given up the ghost and the whole structure was bascially been held in place by the fabric.
2
The old fabrics stripped, all webbings and springs removed, new hardwood rails used to replace the broken parts, the leg reunited with the frame, everything now tight and secure, ready for the next stage.
3
The back now repadded and covered with a lining ready for the new cover to be fitted
4
The new back and arm new made and partly fitted.
5
The seat has been resprung, all the top padding fitted and covered with a lining material, ready for the new fabric. The new seat is lower than the original as we are changing the style slightly and fitting seat cushions rather than the fixed seat, which was very popular at the start of the century.Doing it this way will be more practical, and be a much more comfortable seat.
6
The new cover has been secured on the inside arms and inside back, then the new cover was fitted to the seat. We have pleated the front of the arm and made panels to finish the front.
Next job is to fit a cover over the outside arms and outside back. We will then put a small amount of padding in those areas, so it will give a nice substantial feel, when the finishing outside covers are fitted.
7
The outside panels are now fitted. Just the seat cushions to be made and fitted to complete the settee.
8
Nice 'comfy' seat cushions now fitted. (We make and supply cushions to the exact needs of the customer, whether you want 'soft and squashy' to 'very firm'.......the choice is yours.)
9
Job complete and back at the customers home, dressed with matching scatter cushions.......... a complete transformation.
This sofa is probably about 80 years old, the frame has been fixed, damaged wood has been replaced' springs and padding renewed, new cushions fitted................here's to another 80 years.
JUST A REMINDER AS TO HOW IT LOOKED WHEN IT ARRIVED.................!
